FAQ

  • Flex Leagues are the opposite of standard (or fixed) leagues, where league matches are played at a specific date/time each week (i.e., every Tuesday at 7pm).

    Instead, opponents work together using our MatchFlex technology to sync calendars and automatically find the most convenient date/time for all players to play the match.

    Flex leagues are great for members who want the flexibility to schedule their league play around their day-to-day schedule.

  • Defined opponents are set for round of the regular season. A new match launches every week and each match is played within a 2 week timeframe. Matches are scheduled at mutually convenient times by players using MatchFlex technology. All match results are scored and tracked in the application. Regular season results determine league playoffs and an eventual league champion.

    Matches are best of 3 games played to 11, win by 2.

  • Matches can be played any day and time. Members can reserve a court through the standard Court Reservation process and play their match on the reserved court. Teams can also play their matches on Open Play courts so long as they follow the standard Open Play rules. Flex League matches do not take precedent over regular Open Play participants and teams must adhere to the normal flow and rules of Open Play.

  • All Unlimited Members have the opportunity to join Flex Leagues at their appropriate skill/age level. Flex Leagues are included in your Membership at no additional cost.

  • On the rare occasion that there is no overlap in opponents’ schedules or if both teams are unable to agree on a convenient time to play the match, then the default day/time for the match to be played will be the last day of the 2-week match time period. Each league has a defined drop day date and time that is included in the information section of the Registration page.

    If one team is unable to play at the default match time or does not show up for the default match time, the other team wins the match.

    If both teams no-show for the default time, neither team gets credit for a win. Teams with the most wins move on to the playoffs, so teams work hard to get all matches played on time.

  • Substitutes are not allowed whether for one match or rest of season. If one partner cannot continue to play for any reason, including injury, that team will be withdrawn from the league.

  • Registration is open to all Members periodically throughout the year and is processed through the Ace Pickleball Club app.
