A team that won a Championship Series event is restricted from playing in the same Championship Series event (Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Team Event) again at the same skill level in the same calendar year.

Winning Team Scenarios for play in future Championship Series event:

• My teammate and I want to play together in the next Championship Series event of the same type:

  • The same team is eligible to play in the same event type provided that they play .5 Skill Level higher than they played in their winning event.

• My partner is no longer a member of the club or has no interest in going to the National Championship event, but I do:

  • Players in this situation will be able to use the player replacement process to select a new partner to play in the National Championship with.  Those wishing to take this route are not eligible to play in the second iteration of the same event at the same Skill Level, so that they can retain their National Championship eligibility.

• I want to play with a different partner at the same Skill Level that I won at in the previous event:

  • Players are able to participate in the next Championship Series event of the same type at the same Skill Level IF they are willing to forfeit their previously earned spot and their partners’ previously earned spot in the National Championship.
